
Ahead of the Aisha Buhari International Female Football Tournament, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu received the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick and his team today.
The leadership of the NFF came to brief him on the level of preparation for the six-nation tournament that is scheduled to hold in Lagos from September 14-20, 2021.
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe and FIFA General-Secretary, Fatma Samoura, and other world football dignitaries will be in Lagos for the six-nation invitational where teams from Nigeria, Cameroun, Ghana, South Africa, Mali and Morocco will trade tackles.
Lagos as the host state is prepared to ensure the safety and security of all officials and footballers from the participating countries and we will use the opportunity to also showcase the greatness, beauty and resilience of our state to the world as the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria and 6th largest economy in Africa.
