Fast-rising Nigerian artist, Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, shared his experience finding accommodation when he first moved from Benin City to Lagos to pursue a music career. Despite having friends who were fans of his music, Shallipopi revealed that many refused to offer him a place to stay. Eventually, he secured accommodation by deceiving a group of boys, claiming he would only stay for four days. In an interview on the Zero Conditions podcast, Shallipopi emphasized the financial opportunities in music, stating that even an emerging artist with just one hit song can earn a substantial income. Shallipopi gained fame with his song “Elon Musk,” and later collaborated with rapper Zlatan Ibile on a remix.
